If you are an emerging or early career theatre artist based in Newfoundland and Labrador and interested in furthering your craft and your connections to the greater Canadian theatre community then this message is for you!
To celebrate our thirtieth anniversary Artistic Fraud is launching the Co-Lab. The Co-Lab will pair ambitious, curious new artists in our community with some of Artistic Fraud’s creative collaborators – leading Canadian artists in their field – for a series of one-on-one protégée defined discussions.
This is not a class, and this is not instruction. This is an opportunity for you to develop a personal mentor relationship with an established professional in your field: the chance to discuss artistic process, troubleshoot, access career advice, and much more in a low stress and highly supportive environment built specifically for you and shaped by your questions.
Areas of investigation may include:
- Acting
- Direction
- Playwrighting
- Dramaturgy
- Stage management
- Lighting design
- Sound design
- Costume design
- Set design
- Musical orchestration
- Musical direction
Simply send us a bio/resume, and a short statement on your goals, and what kind of questions/concerns you might bring to the discussion. Successful candidates will be paired with one of our esteemed collaborators for a series of monthly chats over the upcoming spring and summer. This dialogue is completely free to you!
As Artistic Fraud enters our anniversary year, the two things we continue to count our as greatest blessings are the people from across Canada and beyond with whom we have gotten to work, and our creative community here at home. The Co-Lab is our way of helping to bring them both together!
Resumes and statements of interest may be submitted to robert@artisticfraud.com by March 14, 2025.
As always Artistic Fraud values the diversity of our creativity community and holds accessibility has an ongoing priority. Applications from underserviced populations are strongly encouraged.
